Financial Control Costs Manager - #1208467

On behalf of Tesco Bank, AMS are now looking for a Financial Control Costs Manager based in Edinburgh (hybrid) for an initial contract length of 6 months.

Core responsibilities:

• Supporting account receivable process by issuing invoices, both external and inter/intra company.
• Managing and keeping track of InterCo invoices as well as making a monthly InterCo payments, ensuring approvals are in line with controls.
• Reviewing payroll feeds and ensuring integrity in the ledger, preparing payroll related reports for MI.
• Working with the offshore team, maintaining a relationship with them, and reviewing work provided by them to ensure integrity of cost recognition.
• Risk Management/Reg reporting - preparing regulatory submissions and contributing to the risk framework.
• Various ad-hoc tasks and analysis - dealing with queries and providing ad-hoc analysis on any of the above tasks.
• Balance sheet reconciliations, journal postings, ensuring cost postings are correct and month end position is as expected.
• Reviewing and identifying areas of process improvement.
• Supporting and delivering a control environment that substantiates and gives integrity to the cost related balances held within the Oracle general ledger.

What we're looking for:

• Professional accountancy qualification (candidates who are working towards professional qualification also accepted)
• Financial reporting/cost reporting experience
• Proficient user of MS Excel
• Experience in the financial services industry (preferred but not essential)
• Experience with Oracle (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to build relationships across the finance function
• Demonstratable experience of being able to hit the ground running quickly
• Stakeholder management skills - ability to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload
• Proactive approach
• Problem-solving skills
