Aberdeen Comprises Three Businesses, Interactive Investor (ii), Investments And Adviser, Each Of Which Focuses On Meeting And Adapting To Our Clients’ Evolving Needs
The primary focus of this role is to bring technical knowledge and experience to allow us to deliver an enhanced service experience to our customers. The Senior Technician role sits within the Client Experience area of the Adviser business, reporting into the Senior Customer Services Team Manager, and is part of a team that is passionate about providing exceptional service.
The role will be based in our Edinburgh offices, located at 1 Broadway Park.

- Our Investments business is a specialist asset manager that focuses on areas where we have both strength and scale to capitalise on the key themes shaping the market, through either public markets or alternative asset classes.
The primary focus of this role is to bring technical knowledge and experience to allow us to deliver an enhanced service experience to our customers. The Senior Technician role sits within the Client Experience area of the Adviser business, reporting into the Senior Customer Services Team Manager, and is part of a team that is passionate about providing exceptional service.
The role will be based in our Edinburgh offices, located at 1 Broadway Park.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the key point of contact for day-to-day complex technical queries and be customer service focused, taking ownership for driving cases through to completion.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of current systems and controls, and provide recommendations to continually enhance service delivery, streamline processes, and minimise potential complaints and business risks.
- Maintain up to date technical knowledge in one or more specialist areas and share technical knowledge with the team through both written and verbal communication.
- Lead various projects, offering detailed technical input to ensure continuous enhancement of the service experience we provide, while adhering to rules and regulations.
- Collaborate effectively within a small team and provide support and assistance to the management team where required in all aspects of service delivery and business support.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with service suppliers and foster long-term partnerships.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong understanding of Investment Platforms and the Financial Services industry.
- Expert working knowledge of SIPP products. Covering LTA/LSA, SIPP Protections, etc. Can understand, interpret and explain scheme rules correctly.
- Can use knowledge and experience to support, coach and train team, and can demonstrate ongoing development and engagement of the team.
- Knowledge of recent legislation changes and where to refer to for future changes.
- A strong set of analytical skills, naturally inclined to analyse and challenge current processes with a passion for continuous improvement.
