As a Chef de Partie at Royal Scotsman, A Belmond Train, you are part of a team that creates and produces the highest quality cuisine. Primary Responsibilities Include:


  • This is a seasonal role which runs until November.

  • Preparing the mis en place required for a smooth kitchen operation and ensuring that the section is set prior to service.

  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant health, safety and hygiene standards for the kitchen.

  • Ensuring that the quality & quantity standards of preparation and presentation are adhered to.

  • Preparing menus in collaboration with colleagues.

  • Directing, guiding and assisting commis chefs.

Requirements


What You Bring:


  • Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK.

  • 2-4 years’ relevant experience within a similar role, preferably within the luxury hospitality industry.

  • Relevant culinary or hospitality diploma or certificate, e.g. graduate from a Hotel Management Institute or Food Production Course.

  • Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes.

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

  • Knowledge of best cooking practices.
