About the Department
The Data Insights team sits within the wider Data & Analytics function at Aberdeen, delivering high-quality reporting, analytics, and insights to key stakeholders. The team is focused on using data to inform strategic decision-making, enhance client experiences, and shape business thinking.
About the Role
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our Data Insights team and help shape the way we approach data and analytics. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is entrepreneurial, proactive, and eager to make an impact. You will work across multi-disciplinary teams, collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to deliver insightful dashboards, reporting, and analytics that drive business change.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about turning data into meaningful insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality reporting and dashboards that deliver meaningful insights.
- Identify and communicate key insights that inform client, customer, and business decisions.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and management of reporting needs.
- Gather and help prioritise reporting requirements across the business.
- Challenge and influence thinking around data and analytics.
- Identify new opportunities to leverage data for improved decision-making.
- Contribute to shaping Aberdeen's data strategy.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- High Level expertise in data visualisation tools, ideally Power BI.
- Significant experience with data tools such as SQL, Excel, or Python.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Background in data analysis, with a track record of delivering value-added insights.
- Experience managing or mentoring analysts.
- Previous experience in financial services or working with market data is desirable.
