In the heart of Edinburgh, a city known for its rich history and vibrant culture, lies a dynamic student residence with over 230 en-suite and studio bedrooms. We are seeking a dedicated Residence Manager to oversee this thriving community and ensure it remains welcoming and supportive.


As the Residence Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our student community, responsible for creating a positive living experience. Your leadership will maintain high standards of service and smooth operations. You will shape students' lives, helping them feel at home and supported.


You will drive the residence's success, managing the student letting cycle, ensuring health and safety compliance, and leading a dedicated team. Building strong relationships with local institutions and service providers will be key. Your customer service skills will enhance the resident experience, maintaining high occupancy rates and exceptional service.


Your Responsibilities:



  • You will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and high performance.

  • Oversee the entire student letting process, from marketing and conducting viewings to managing tenancy agreements and rent collection.

  • You will manage site inspections, coordinate maintenance programs, and address any issues promptly to ensure a safe living environment.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local institutions, service providers, and the wider community.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for residents, addressing complaints, resolving issues, and providing support for student welfare.


Your Experience:



  • Proven experience in student accommodation or the hotel sector

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset

  • A thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and property management best practices
