Job Overview:


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Delivery Station Manager to oversee the daily operations of our last-mile delivery station in London. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of logistics operations, and a keen sense of cost control and team management. This role is critical to ensuring efficient, safe, and customer-focused service delivery, aligned with our company’s values and operational standards.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Team Management:



  • Build and lead a high-performing team in line with company culture and team-building principles.

  • Oversee recruitment, selection, training, motivation, retention, and performance management.

  • Conduct daily operational briefings to maintain team focus and productivity.

  • Foster a positive, proactive, and collaborative team environment.


2. Cost Management:



  • Optimize costs related to facilities, staffing, vehicles, and consumables.

  • Monitor and control expenditures to maximize cost-efficiency and profitability of the station.


3. Operational Excellence:



  • Enhance operational efficiency through optimal site selection, station layout planning, and vehicle utilization.

  • Implement route diagnostics and planning models to optimize route design, improve income, efficiency, and service experience.

  • Continuously refine operational models and workflows for performance improvement.


4. Safety Management:



  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, including financial security, personnel safety training, and traffic safety measures.

  • Maintain a risk-free operational environment through proactive monitoring and management.


5. External Relations:



  • Maintain positive relationships with local authorities and communities, including councils, property managers, fire departments, postal authorities, and other stakeholders.

  • Effectively manage and resolve public disturbances or regulatory concerns.


6. Resource Management:



  • Ensure sufficient deployment of key resources such as personnel, vehicles, and facilities.

  • Plan and allocate resources strategically to support high service standards and operational scalability.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree or above.

  • Excellent communication and team management skills.

  • Proven experience in last-mile logistics, especially in team or business operations management.

  • Strong business acumen with an awareness of cost control and operational efficiency.

  • Familiarity with London’s road network, traffic conditions, and customer distribution is essential.
