JOB - Applications Engineer

LOCATION - Oxfordshire

TERM - Permanent

SALARY - £30,000 to £35,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is working with a well-established engineering company based in Oxfordshire who are looking to bring on an Application Engineer to support their technical and commercial teams.

The Application Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• A background in Mechanical, Electrical, or General Engineering


• Experience in a customer-facing or technical support role


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications


• Good problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset


• Competent using CAD software and Microsoft Office tools


• Commercial awareness and an understanding of customer needs


• Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering (BEng, HND, HNC etc.) is preferred

The Application Engineer role will involve:

• Acting as the link between the engineering and sales teams


• Supporting customers with product selection and technical enquiries


• Preparing technical proposals, costings, and quotations


• Liaising with design and production teams to ensure accurate project delivery


• Providing pre- and post-sales technical support


• Helping to develop new application solutions based on customer requirements


• Attending client meetings, exhibitions, and site visits as needed
