Interim Systems Accountant - #1674835

I am delighted to be partnered with a manufacturing business that are currently implementing a new ERP system and are looking for a Systems Accountant to support going live. This is initially a short term contract of 6 weeks but there are other systems projects going on in the business you could get involved in for a longer term assignment. They are offering a remote working setup as long as you can spend sometime on site, they are based on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Role

  Assist with Final Stages of New Accounting System Setup

  
  

  • Support transition of accounting systems.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide Project Support

  
  
  
  

  • Work closely with the Senior Accountant to help project manage the implementation.

  
  

  • Take ownership of specific project tasks.

  
  
  
  


• 
  

  Perform System Testing & User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  
  
  
  

  • Conduct UAT on the test system.

  
  

  • Identify and report any issues or bugs.

  
  
  
  


• 
  

  Support Data Migration

  
  

  • Assist with migrating data from the test environment to the live system.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor System Post-Go-Live

  
  
  
  

  • Oversee system performance during the initial weeks after launch.

  
  

  • Identify, alert, and help resolve any technical or process issues.

  
  
  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate with Technical Team

  
  
  
  

  • Work with team handling system configuration.

  
  

  • Provide input and support for IT-related challenges.

  
  
  
  


• 
  

  Assist with Month-End Activities

  
  

  • Provide background support during month-end processes post-implementation.

  
  


• 
  

  Contribute to System Documentation

  
  

  • Help create or update documentation related to system setup, testing, and procedures

  
  

Criteria

• Previous system implementation experience is essential


• Qualified or qualified by experience accountant


• Experience of SQL and ODP is desirable


• Experience of Epicor products would be advantageous
