Responsibilities and dutiesReporting to the Head of Land you will:
- Identify and assess potential land opportunities for large-scale solar, BESS, and hydrogen projects
- Secure land for grid connection applications in collaboration with internal teams
- Build and maintain relationships with landowners, agents, and key stakeholders
- Negotiate land rights agreements, including leases and easements
- Provide support on land-related matters to the development team
- Present new opportunities to senior leadership and the investment committee
- At least 5 years of experience in a land acquisition or property-focused role, preferably within the renewable energy sector
- Demonstrated success in securing land rights and developing strong relationships with landowners and stakeholders
- Solid understanding of UK planning policy and its influence on renewable energy development
- Knowledge of distribution and transmission networks and their role in energy projects
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively
- Self-motivated, organised, and capable of working independently to meet targets and deadlines
- RICS accreditation is something the ideal candidate would hold
- Driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient in negotiation and cultivating strong, lasting relationships
- Highly organised, with excellent time management and attention to detail in record-keeping
- Confident and assertive when necessary to achieve results
- Comfortable thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Up to £75,000 salary depending on experience
