Role Overview


We are seeking Event Safety Stewards and SIA Licensed Security Officers to join our team in Edinburgh. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, enjoyment, and wellbeing of event attendees, staff, and performers by delivering high standards of customer service, safety, and crowd management.


Key Responsibilities


Event Safety Steward (Non-Licensed Role):


· Welcome and assist members of the public at events


· Provide clear and helpful guidance on entry points, seating, facilities, and exits


· Carry out ticket checks and monitor crowd movement


· Support with emergency evacuation procedures when required


· Maintain a visible and approachable presence


· Report incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity to supervisors


SIA Licensed Security Officer (Door Supervisor Licence Required):


· Ensure safety and security of venues, performers, staff, and attendees


· Conduct bag searches and manage entry points


· Provide a visible deterrent and respond calmly to incidents Liaise with emergency services and internal teams as needed


· Enforce venue policies with professionalism and confidence


· Complete incident logs or reports where required


Person Specification


Essential:


· Aged 18 or over


· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


· Calm under pressure and capable of using initiative


· Professional, punctual, and reliable


· Able to work as part of a team in a busy environment


· Available for evening/weekend work, especially during busy event periods


Desirable:


· Previous experience in a stewarding, customer service, or security role


· Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (for SIA role)


· First Aid certification


· Interest in events, music, sport, or festivals
