Tax Manager - Edinburgh - £60k - £70k- Hybrid working - #1688583

Hawksworth are looking to hire a ‘Tax Manager’ for a global Fintech client who are market leaders in Wealth systems, for a Permanent role in Edinburgh.

£60k - £70k / Hybrid working (3 days in the office pw) / Edinburgh location.

Any successful candidate will need the essential experience:

• ACA/CTA and/or CIOT Qualified


• Exposure to International Tax


• Excellent communication skills

The job:

You will be working as part of the tax team to manage the Tax risks of the employer and identify opportunities. Some of those responsibilities but not limited to these are: Assisting with all corporate tax affairs including working with appointed advisors on R&D claims, return preparation, calculating quarterly payments on account and communications with TAX Authorities, Supporting the Global Head of Tax, Senior Tax Managers and supporting the wider group.

Experience required

• We are looking for ACA/CA and/or CIOT qualified with demonstrable post qualification experience.


• This experience can be from either Practice, Industry or both, however exposure to International tax would be required.


• You will be technically up-to-date on all taxes impacting the business and you should be experienced in tax accounting under IFRS.


• You will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, being able to clearly articulate your points, as well as influence and negotiate at all levels. Furthermore, you will be comfortable educating and training others within the business and Group on tax related matters.


• You will be used to acting as point of contact for delegated projects involving tax


• You will be flexible and be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
