We are currently looking for a talented and motivated BIM Coordinator in Edinburgh to join our Technical Management Team.


What does the role involve?


As a BIM Coordinator you'll be accountable for driving the efficient development and use of standards, methods and processes across project delivery teams. The purpose of this role is to assist the Energy and Special Interest Projects Technical team in maintaining high standards and efficiency in project delivery, developing clear workflows and identifying the right tools to enable the best of integrated design delivery.


Key responsibilities include:



  • Research, Develop & Manage the Digital Design and BIM delivery process through collaborative initiatives inhouse & with industry professionals.

  • Maintain documentation information in compliance with the BIM protocol & industry strategy set by the Centre for Digital Built Britain.

  • Verify, Adapt & Maintain information for the teams Standards, Methods and Processes (SMPs).

  • Resourcing & training the BIM team through regular work-sharing workshops, training & external CPD’s with the guidance of the SIP Core Team.

  • Coordinate the production of design outputs related to a discipline specific, package-based or time-based task in compliance with the project SMP’s and agreed project specific systems & technology.

  • Manage spatial coordination on behalf of team

  • Coordinate & Validate consistent delivery of design information


To be successful in this role you’ll possess:



  • An understanding of ISO 19650 part 2 Information Management for the delivery phase of AECO projects.

  • High technical competency in Building Information Model Coordination.

  • Experience of using key Information Management Documents to deliver lean, stage appropriate information models.

  • Sound knowledge of Common Data Environments and best practice.

  • Experience of working to Company Standards, Methods and Processes.

  • Advanced level Revit family creation experience/ or understanding with a desire to develop in the area.

  • Experience of data population/ validation process specifically, but not limited to, the COBie Schema.

  • Sound understanding of lean workflow development for efficient design development using BIM.
