Job Description


A Site Manager on construction sites oversees all on-site activities to ensure the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Responsibilities are coordinating contractors, managing schedules, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and resolving technical issues. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of PV systems, civil works, and electrical installations. The Site Manager liaises with project stakeholders, conducts inspections, and ensures compliance to environmental and regulatory requirements. Great communication and organizational skills are essential for maintaining workflow efficiency and addressing challenges in large-scale solar power plant construction, in writing and regular meetings.


Key Tasks



  • Oversee daily construction activities, schedules, and resource management, including personnel, materials, and equipment.

  • Supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and ensure compliance with project designs, specifications, and regulations.

  • Enforce safety standards, conduct briefings, ensure PPE use, and manage environmental compliance.

  • Monitor quality, inspections, commissioning, and adherence to industry standards, modifying QAP as needed.

  • Coordinate deliveries, subcontractor services, and resolve logistical challenges.

  • Maintain records, report progress, address issues, and approve work completion and invoices.

  • Issue NCRs and organize team-building activities.


Qualifications



  • Project & Site Management: Planning, scheduling, progress tracking, procurement, logistics, and contract management.

  • Technical Expertise: Civil, electrical, and mechanical aspects of PV power plants, including HV/MV infrastructure, grid interconnection, and compliance with electrical/building codes.

  • Software Proficiency: Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, PVsyst, SCADA, SAP, Procore, and other relevant tools.

  • Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensuring HSE standards, environmental regulations, and permitting requirements.

  • Communication & Leadership: Managing stakeholders, organizing complex projects, and maintaining a systematic approach.

  • Languages & Flexibility: Excellent English, and willingness to travel for site work
