UserTesting
We’re UserTesting, a leader in experience research and insights; we believe the path to human understanding and great experiences start with a shared understanding—seeing and hearing how another person engages with the world around them and taking in their perspective. Working at UserTesting, you will be empowered to help organizations discover the human side of business–transforming how they work, collaborate, innovate, and bring new products and experiences to market. This is what inspires us, and it’s how we enable companies to connect with their audiences naturally and organically through an experience that is uniquely, and intentionally human.

A trusted company by top brands for 15+ years, UserTesting, recently merged with UserZoom, has over 3,400 customers in 50 countries, including 75 of the Fortune 100 companies. Joining our team means being part of a passionate group focused on transforming how companies learn from and understand their customers. Come join us and help us build the engine for human understanding.

The Opportunity

As a Panel Operations Intern, you’ll help improve how participants in our Contributor Network access the support and resources they need. You’ll be part of initiatives that scale support through automation and intuitive self-service, focusing on our generative chatbot on the new participant platform.

In this role, you’ll analyze data, enhance tagging and chatbot flows, support API-based integration efforts, and identify opportunities to improve the experience for thousands of participants. You'll collaborate closely with the Panel Operations, Panel Content, and Participant Support teams—and gain hands-on experience with tools like Ada, Zendesk, Jira, and Confluence.

The Team

Our Panel Operations team nurtures a diverse network of contributors who deliver meaningful insights to our customers. We ensure they’re supported with helpful coaching and content, while continuously improving systems that enable great experiences. We’re a globally distributed team, working across time zones from the US to the UK, with team members based remotely and in our Edinburgh office.

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for someone who brings curiosity, collaboration, and a user-first mindset. You’ll thrive in this internship if you have:

  • An eagerness to learn and explore tools like Ada (chatbot), Zendesk, Slack, and Confluence
  • An analytical approach, with attention to detail and interest in solving real-world user problems
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills—you listen, share ideas, and adapt in a team setting
  • The ability to self-manage tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment
  • A genuine interest in user experience (UX) and a desire to improve how users access support

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Curiosity about how APIs work or how chatbots integrate with platforms
  • Some familiarity with ticketing platforms like Zendesk
  • Interest in generative AI, chatbot development, or conversational design
  • Additional language skills (e.g., French, German, Spanish)

Don’t meet every single requirement but excited about the role?

We encourage you to apply! Research shows that some candidates—especially those from underrepresented backgrounds—may hesitate if they don’t meet 100% of the criteria. At UserTesting, we believe diverse perspectives drive innovation and build stronger teams, and we’re committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

Application Process

  • Meet with a Recruiter
  • Interview with the Hiring Manager
  • Participate in a Skill Interview and Stakeholder Interview
  • Offer Stage

UserTesting is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a participant in the U.S. Federal E-Verify program. Women, minorities, individuals with disabilities and protected veterans are encouraged to apply. We welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities and perspectives. UserTesting will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, as applicable.
