Business Development and Marketing Manager

We are recruiting a Business Development and Marketing Manager, with a specific focus on our Diversified Industrial sector (Aerospace, Defence, Automotive and similar).
The role will support the implementation of the DI business development and marketing plans across all UK and International offices, to drive increased sales of profitable and strategically aligned work into the firm.
This role can be based out of our London, Birmingham, Leeds or Edinburgh Offices, and our standard working hours are 9.30am-5.30pm, however as an inclusive employer, we are willing to consider any flexible working requests.
Candidate Overview
We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:
Evidence of acting as a trusted advisor – this role covers sensitive / confidential clients, in a highly technical sector and therefore requires an individual who can build relationships first and foremost – to get the most from the DI team.

We typically hold two interview stages per vacancy providing the opportunity to meet two members of the hiring team at each stage. The first stage is typically conducted virtually and the second stage typically in person at the office in which the role would be based. - Experience in a similar BD / Marketing position – covering a broad spectrum of activities including but not limited to areas such as events, pursuits, pitches, case studies and capability documents.
- Able to evidence exceptional writing skills, that not only engages audiences, but also displays the depth of technical skillset in a highly complex sector, across varied mediums (brochures, pitches, content etc).
- Experience of creating targeted business plans and strategies, aimed at key clients, both current and potential.
- An interest in the sector, Aerospace, Defence, Automotive and similar, would be highly advantageous to building these relationships.
- Able to work as an individual, to a high standard – this role is quality over quantity, and as such is stand alone in sector – but with support from the wider BD team where needed.
