RF Systems Engineer | Satellite Communications | up to 70K | Hybrid working from Edinburgh (will offer relocation support)Will need to be eligible for SC Clearance We are currently working with an exciting satellite communications company who are looking for an RF Engineer to join their team. You will be responsible for specification of phased arrays, which will involve specification writing, system simulation and algorithm development Role:

• Create detailed system requirements based on customer requirements
• Make sure requirements meet all relevant regulatory standards
• Define RF system board layout floorplan and layout strategies
• Lead RF system integration and debug activity at board level
• Create algorithms for controlling RF blocks
• Collaborate with Digital hardware and software team to integrate and validate algorithms
• Devise testing and calibration strategies for sub-assemblies of complete array

Required Background:

• Experience in an RF Engineer, RF Design or RF Systems Engineer position
• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge and experience of RF and system modelling
• Experience creating algorithms to control complex systems
• Experience of system integration, prototyping and transfer to production

Desirable:

• Keysight SystemVue experience
• PCB Layout for complex systems
• PhD in RF Systems or communications theory would be great
