Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities
As a Regional Business Development Manager, you will bring commercial insight and strategic vision to expand commercial growth initiatives within your designated region. In this newly created role, you will be joining RICS during a period of renewed focus and ambitious growth, playing a key part in shaping our future success.
This role is pivotal in advancing RICS’ strategic objectives through the development and implementation of a Regional Commercial Plan. Your efforts will directly contribute to expanding our reach, strengthening our partnerships, and increasing our impact within the region's market.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing a targeted Regional Commercial Plan aligned with organisational objectives.
- Developing B2B sales, managing accounts, and promoting group memberships, sponsorships, and product sales.
- Cultivating robust partnerships across public sector bodies, private firms, SMEs, and universities.
- Representing RICS at key regional events and within relevant networks to enhance visibility and strategic influence.
- Gathering and utilising customer insights to enhance the regional experience and inform service development.
- Collaborating with regional and cross functional teams to support membership growth and engagement.
- Monitoring KPIs and maintaining accurate records in our CRM (Salesforce).
About You
You’re a results oriented business development professional with excellent stakeholder management skills and a focus on strategic impact.
We’re looking for:
- Proven B2B sales and account management experience, ideally within a membership body or a similar sector.
- A demonstrable track record of achieving revenue and engagement targets.
- Sound commercial awareness and the ability to forge long lasting professional relationships.
- Familiarity with the public, private, SME, and higher education sectors.
- Analytical skills to translate customer and market insights into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competence in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and managing pipelines and performance reporting.
- A collaborative and inclusive approach to teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
