Purpose of Role

Support the delivery of end to end implementation of State Street’s Enterprise Continuity programme in line with the global standards, helping the company prepare to resist, absorb, and recover from disruption. The position reports to the Global Head of Resiliency Continuity.

Support the delivery of the end to end implementation of the State Street Bank International GmbH Operational Resilience progiramme in line with global policy and standards whilst taking into account regulatory specifics in each branch of SSBI. The position reports locally to the Chief Administration Officer

To provide end to end oversight of processes, ensuring desired outcomes from design through to delivery in order to achieve robust and repeatable resilience solutions that align with Resiliency by Design principles and support stakeholders within the Business, Technology and Risk.

The successful candidate will contribute across all aspects of the Enterprise Resiliency framework, including development of the Standards, enhancement projects and support for Business Continuity Directors and Advisors in the execution of their responsibilities

This role will contribute to the execution of State Street’s operational goals and plans by working in partnership with divisional/group management and/or external organisations.

Major Responsibilities

Role Specifics

  • Provides oversight end to end for the Business Continuity programme globally and the operational resilience programme within SSBI, from programme design to programme execution ensuring Business Leads and Resiliency Personnel understand the intent of standards and are supported by the appropriate framework to manage risk.
  • Provides guidance and direction to Business Lines and Corporate areas on programme delivery and regulatory requirements for both programmes via the Business Continuity Advisory team.
  • Provides input and direction on enhancement projects in order to deliver effective solutions.
  • Leads the Resiliency Advisory Board to provide recommendations on risk items and provide risk escalation where necessary.
  • Drives definition of roles and responsibilities for Business Continuity Directors and Business Continuity Advisors along and related personnel to ensure effective delivery.
  • Develops Business Continuity Advisory team to ensure a spread of specialist knowledge areas across related fields (IT/DR, Third Party, Cyber and related regulation) in all regions.
  • Provides opportunities for team members to participate in appropriate industry forums to support effective development of the programme and effective personal development.
  • Ensures connectivity between Business Continuity Advisory team and related internal groups, for example: Client Experience and Testing COE teams.
  • Presents status updates on the SSBI Resilience programme to the EMB and escalates any deviation from the requirements of either the Enterprise Resiliency Policy or the relevant regulation.

Ideally educated to Degree level
