MNB Networks Ltd. is a consulting service provider in the IT networking technology space, focusing on service providers, VARs, managed services, and enterprises. Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, we operate globally to help customers achieve their business objectives.


With a combined 100+ years of industry experience in IT networking spread across our management team, we aim to build strategic relationships with our clients and offer services including strategy & roadmaps, high & low level design, SDN consultancy, network architect as a service, and more.


Role Description


This is a full-time hybrid role as the Head of Network Design & Engineering at MNB Networks Ltd. The role involves overseeing the design and engineering of network solutions and collaborating as a trusted partner with internal and external network teams.


While the role is based in Edinburgh, some remote work is acceptable and we would consider exceptional candidates in other areas of Scotland, North East of England i.e., Newcastle, Yorkshire, or Manchester.


Qualifications & Experience Summary


A full job specification will be shared with candidates who pass the initial screening process, where the below points show the main requirements.



  • CCIE certification preferred.

  • CCNP / CCDP with 15+ years plus skills considered.

  • Significant High and Low Level Design experience.

  • Proven leadership of highly skilled network teams.

  • Minimum 10 years experience in Network Design.

  • Minimum 5 years Network Engineering.

  • In depth BGP / MP-BGP.

  • In depth IGP (OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS).

  • Modern and traditional DC networking.

  • MPLS L2 and L3VPN deaign preferred.

  • WAN, LAN and SD-WAN enterprise networks.

  • Wi-Fi design and implementation experience.

  • Network security platforms.

  • Cloud Service Provider (CSP) networking.


Please Note: This role is open to candidates who are located in the UK, preferably in Scotland or North of England as far south as Manchester.
