Join Our Public Sector Team: AWS Platform Engineer (6-Month Contract, Outside IR35, SC Clearance Required)
Location: Edinburgh/ Glasgow | Hybrid (6 days on-site per month)
Contract Duration: 6 Months- Potentially Extendable
Day Rate: £500 - £550PD Outside IR35
Are you an AWS expert with experience working in the public sector? We’re looking for an AWS Platform Engineer to help optimise and build cloud infrastructure in a highly secure, government-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure: Build and optimise AWS cloud-native solutions.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement Terraform for modular, scalable infrastructure.
CI/CD Pipelines: Manage and automate pipelines using AWS-native tools (CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodePipeline).
System Management: Oversee RHEL and Windows workloads in AWS environments.
Security: Enforce robust security practices (IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager) in a public sector setting.
Cost & Governance: Implement FinOps strategies for cloud cost optimisation and governance.
Essential Skills & Experience:
3+ years in senior AWS platform or cloud infrastructure roles.
Expertise in AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch, Systems Manager).
Advanced Terraform skills for Infrastructure as Code.
Proficiency in AWS-native CI/CD tools and automation.
SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain.
Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with public sector challenges and compliance requirements.
Experience with AWS Active Directory integration.
AWS Certifications.
