The Role
This is an outstanding opportunity for a skilled Electrician to progress within a well-established Facilities Management company. In this role, you'll deliver high-quality electrical services to a range of commercial properties throughout Edinburgh and its surrounding regions. Your duties will include carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and ensuring the reliable operation of electrical systems across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical Maintenance: Conduct both scheduled and emergency electrical maintenance across commercial properties, including systems such as power distribution, fire alarms, lighting, and emergency lighting.
- Fault Diagnosis & Repair: Identify and resolve electrical faults, ensuring all work is completed in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all tasks using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Client Interaction: Collaborate directly with clients to provide prompt, efficient, and high-quality electrical maintenance services.
Skills and Qualifications
- 17th or 18th Edition Qualification: Required for electrical installation work to ensure compliance with current standards.
- Experience in Facilities Management or Building Services: Previous experience in a similar role is highly advantageous.
- Recognised Apprenticeship: SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation is a mandatory requirement.
