Main Duties/Responsibilities

In the role of a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) at HMP Edinburgh, you would be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive care programs for prisoners with mental health needs within a prison setting. This involves assessing, planning, and implementing individual care plans, providing emergency and anticipatory care, and managing your own caseload. You'll also work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and build relationships with external organizations and the local communitiny

Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications

Essential

• Be a Registered Nurse.


• At least 2 years post-graduate experience.


• 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.


• You will need to pass an enhanced background check.


• Prison induction and PPT training
