The Role:
This position involves overseeing Fund Accounting operations, including NAV oversight, providing technical and accounting advice, and supporting projects such as fund launches, mergers, and integrations from a technical perspective
The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for day-to-day management, including training and appraisals, and will liaise with administrators, internal teams, and fund boards on financial accounting oversight. The role requires providing technical advice to fund boards and projects, overseeing performance fees, income monitoring, and costs, and ensuring accuracy and compliance
Key skills include expertise in NAV and pricing, knowledge of various fund structures (e.g., section 110, LP/GP, FCP, RAIF, ICAV, QIF, ELTIF, LTAFs), and familiarity with private debt, alternative credit, leveraged finance, restructuring, real estate, private assets, and money market funds. Experience with fund accounting regulations across Ireland, Luxembourg, UK, and Channel Islands, as well as instrument knowledge in private equity, private debt, derivatives, and fixed income, is essential
The role requires strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present to Boards and senior stakeholders clearly and succinctly. The candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure. A genuine interest in learning and industry developments is also important
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Qualified Accountant or equivalent professional/academic qualification
Extensive experience in investment accounting, fund management, or audit
Proven team leadership and supervisory skills
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics
Experience in stakeholder management and presenting to committees or boards
