What you’ll be doing…


Elior UK is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to oversee and deliver operational excellence for non-matchday business at the Easter Road Stadium. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of conferencing and events operations. You will manage operational budgets, drive profitability, and implement best practices to achieve key site-based performance targets, ensuring client and employee satisfaction.


Business Leadership


  • Foster a service-led work environment, ensuring initiatives promote growth, profitability, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and contribute to the day-to-day operational function, planning, and budgeting.
  • Proactively address site-related issues and implement solutions.
  • Oversee planning processes for matchday hospitality and retail delivery.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of direct reports against established targets.
  • Instill a culture of achievement, results, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate site operational activities and participate in retention projects.
  • Collaborate with other managers to implement long-term divisional strategies.


Working Pattern: 5 days over 7, 37.5 hours per week


Planning & Organisation


  • Execute the operational strategy for the Easter Road Stadium food and beverage operations.
  • Actively manage the annual operational budget and business plan.
  • Meet and exceed challenging operational and financial targets.
  • Provide regular performance reports to the on-site General Manager.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to support business objectives.


Competence & Development


  • Act as an operational liaison between Hibernian FC and Elior UK, ensuring strong relationships and alignment.
  • Manage overhead costs within agreed budgets and seek opportunities to optimize sales and reduce costs.
  • Ensure policies and procedures support agreed service standards and compliance.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities to staff.
  • Maintain up-to-date succession and appraisal databases.
  • Proactively identify and manage site and operational risks.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, legal, environmental, and company policies.
  • Deliver operational training and learning activities to meet current and future business needs.
