More About Your Role

We're looking for someone who thrives in a community-focused environment to help shape and support the work of our Hays Community Hub in Craigmillar. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in community engagement or the voluntary sector to make a real impact in a dynamic, people-centred role.

Working alongside our Social Impact Officer, you'll help coordinate the day-to-day running of the hub such as our community pantry which involves taking and packing away deliveries whilst ensuring it's a welcoming, safe, and inclusive space for residents and community groups. You'll be building relationships with voluntary sector partners, supporting volunteers, and helping to deliver a diverse programme of activities, services and support that reflect the needs and voices of the local community.

More About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, approachable and solution-focused—someone who understands the challenges facing marginalised groups and is passionate about empowering people and strengthening community resilience. You'll be the friendly, dependable point of contact for hub users, keeping things running smoothly while also making sure health, safety and compliance standards are met.

Having face to face experience within Community work is essential along with having excellent interpersonal skills, and the drive to support a space that brings people together and helps them thrive, we'd love to hear from you. Familiarity with local networks, experience in the VCSE sector, and confidence with basic IT tools will be an advantage.
