Role Overview of a Service & Maintenance Engineer
- Maintain & service fire detection, alarm, and gas suppression systems.
- Commission new devices within existing fire safety setups.
- Respond to reactive and scheduled maintenance calls, ensuring compliance with British Standards & BAFE regulations.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to satisfy our high-end clients.
- Support business operations across projects and sales.
- Be an integral part of the on-call rota, with overtime opportunities.
What You Need
- Experience with fire alarm systems like GENT, Siemens, Morley, Kentec, Notifier, Ziton & Eaton.
- Knowledge of ATEX, VESDA, and graphical user interfaces.
- Electrical background preferred, with FIA certifications (Units 1, 4 & 5) desirable.
- Ability to diagnose faults accurately and work under pressure.
- Strong IT & customer service skills, ensuring smooth operations and client satisfaction.
- Company van (Spouse usage) or car, full UK licence required.
- PPE, mobile, laptop & test equipment, power tools provided.
