Job Overview

Job purpose

As a IT Support Apprentice within our Digital X – Core Solutions Team you will

Provide support to ensure the operational health of the Mainframe platform covering Incident and Change for Databases, Networks or system Capacity and Performance.

Support the Team’s activities to ensure that the platform integrity is maintained in line with technical roadmaps whilst also supporting change demands from Domains or Centres of Excellence.

Develop logical and systematic approaches to data analysis, network management or database administration

You’ll receive support every step of the way, with guidance, training and mentoring to help you reach your full potential. Your line manager will set you up with goals and an individual learning plan, to help you complete professional qualifications or technical trainings.

Your Learning Journey Will Include

How to work with various teams, systems and applications and the work you do will drive significant technology change

How to work in a hands-on, analytical, or project based environment, depending on your skills and interests

We’re looking for people with a passion for learning and high levels of determination, motivation, and drive to succeed. You’ll have strong communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills with the ability to build, maintain and enhance relationships at all levels.

Eligibility

You’ll need to have either a Higher, an Advanced Higher, an A level, HNC or HND in a STEM subject to be eligible for this programme.

Or

A minimum of 12 months experience in an IT based role
