Your Impact
Our Surveillance Radar export sales have never been stronger here in Edinburgh and we are looking for a dynamic and customer focussed individual to lead our product support IPT to deliver quality service for our valued customers. The role will be based at our Edinburgh site with hybrid working patterns available. Our portfolio of customers is global so therefore, regular overseas business travel could be required to support negotiations and key customer management meetings.

You will bring enthusiasm to the role with customers and our people at the heart of everything we do. We will often have to overcome technical or commercial issues with our products and projects and therefore will require a calming and decisive approach to help the team navigate to solutions quickly.
Experience leading Engineering projects, ideally with a focus on production/ manufacturing. Additionally with an understanding of the full product lifecycle
Experience in leading on complex global projects, ideally within the defence or engineering space.
You will be required to work with customers globally, some of which do not use English as their first or second language therefore requiring an ability to listen, use social skills and online tools to ensure conversations and formal communications can flow efficiently whilst building trusting relationships.
Often we are required to find creative commercial solutions to support customer requirements and therefore will require you to think outside the box with other internal SMEs to find and influence entrepreneurial solutions.
Furthermore, you will bring rigour and structure to our repair processing to ensure we track dependencies and schedule our demand as efficiently as possible to help keep our customers supplied as efficiently as possible.
This is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above. The most important skill is a good attitude and willingness to learn.

- Lead the IPT to deliver repairs and support services to a multitude of customers all with varying requirements
- Lead the product strategy in conjunction with functions such as engineering to ensure appropriate investment is made to provide long-term sustainment
- Manage and develop a team of project managers
- Influence senior stakeholders internally and externally
- Support engineering and supplier teams with solution finding to any obsolescence within product portfolio
- Support functions such as commercial, sales and finance to deliver financial targets to budget as well as forecasting future months and years.
