Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations including Jury Meals & Hospitality, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations including Jury Meals & Hospitality, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Plan and create menus in collaboration with the manager
- Enforce food safety and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen
- Manage inventory, place orders, and control food costs
- Create and adjust staff schedules to meet operational needs
- Train and mentor kitchen team members to improve their skills and performance
- Assist in food preparation and cooking as needed
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise in the kitchen
- Collaborate with team to ensure timely and quality food service
- 3-5 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting
- Previous supervisory experience in a kitchen environment preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Culinary degree or diploma preferred
- Current Food Safety Certification required
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in menu planning and recipe development
- Solid understanding of food cost control and inventory management
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in kitchen equipment operation and basic maintenance
- Knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
