Painter & Decorator Wanted - Self-Employed (Temporary Contract, Edinburgh)
We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a leading residential contractor working on high-end renovations and bespoke refurbishments across Edinburgh.
They are seeking X2 experienced Painter & Decorators to support finishing work on a premium residential project. This is a temporary role, ideal for someone self-employed with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for quality craftsmanship.
🔧 Role Details:
Location: Central Edinburgh (EH3)
Contract: Temporary, self-employed
Start: Immediate
Rate: £21-£23 P.H
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and finishing internal surfaces to a high standard (walls, ceilings, woodwork)
Using premium products and techniques (e.g. lime-based paints, feature finishes)
Working to architectural specifications and design briefs
Maintaining site cleanliness and safe working practices
Requirements:
Proven experience in residential painting/decorating, ideally on luxury or heritage projects
Self-employed status with own tools, PPE, CSCS
Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering top-class finishes
Ability to work to deadlines and coordinate with other trades on-site
