We are seeking a visionary Senior Manager of Technical Writing to transform and lead our global customer facing product information and documentation team within the UX group. This role combines strategic leadership with deep technical expertise to drive the creation of clear, engaging, and user-focused content for our cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions. It includes evaluating current content, tooling and processes and recommending and then modernization of the function and output.
As a senior leader, you will shape and execute our documentation strategy, ensuring that our content enhances product learnability, accelerates user onboarding, and supports long-term product adoption. You will lead a team of talented technical writers and content developers, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You will introduce modern approaches to content developing including the use of AI and new tools to drive up efficiency and effectiveness.
You’ll work cross-functionally with product managers, engineering, Nerds, product marketing and UX teams to deliver high-quality documentation that demystifies complex technical concepts and empowers IT professionals to get the most out of our solutions. Your passion for transformation, user advocacy and innovation in content delivery will be key to elevating the overall product experience.

What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a global team of technical writers and content developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Define and execute a strategic vision for customer facing product and technical documentation that aligns with UX, product, and business goals.
- Drive the creation and continuous improvement of high-quality documentation—including in-product guides, API references, troubleshooting articles, release notes, and onboarding materials—that enhances user understanding and engagement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, UX, and customer support to ensure content accuracy, consistency, and alignment with user needs.
- Advocate for documentation excellence, positioning content as a critical component of the product experience and influencing stakeholders across the organization. Make recommendations in process, tooling and content modernization including the use of AI.
- Shape content for diverse user personas, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and usability across all documentation.
- Establish and uphold documentation standards, conducting quality reviews and acting as a final checkpoint for high-impact or business-critical content.
- Leverage user research and analytics to guide content decisions, measure impact, and continuously improve documentation effectiveness.
- Champion innovation in tools and workflows, including structured authoring, content reuse, automation, AI-assisted documentation, and effective tooling usage and rollout.
- Lead strategic planning for documentation resources, managing priorities, scalability, and support for product launches and major updates.
- Support customer help, education and onboarding, developing content strategies that improve product learnability and reduce time-to-value.
- Considerable technical writing experience in software, technology, or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to describe complex and technical topics clearly and accurately. Our products offer innovative solutions, and it's crucial to communicate their capabilities effectively to our users.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with a strong command of American English grammar, with a proven ability to ensure clarity, accuracy, and brevity in all technical content.
- Track record of success in leading and mentoring documentation teams, developing user-friendly documentation for enterprise cybersecurity solutions within a software or SaaS environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and transformation in large-scale documentation of initiatives or content transformations, with experience working directly with executives, technical leadership, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong background in working cross-functionally with engineers, product teams, UX designers and researchers. With exceptional communication skills with a keen focus on clarity, consistency, and content organization.
- Experience defining documentation strategy in a high-growth, fast-paced product environment and leveraging analytics and user research to refine and optimize technical documentation.
- Advanced proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, TechSmith SnagIt, GitHub, Atlassian Confluence, Jira). Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus. Comfort working with HTML, CSS, and structured documentation frameworks.
- Ability to plan documentation journeys across diverse content types, such as API references, user guides, and support site articles coupled with knowledge of cybersecurity concepts (e.g., Vulnerability Management, Endpoint Security, Identity and Access Management
