How You’ll Make a Difference

This role will be responsible for designing and implementing payments technology solutions for our Open Banking services. Working closely with stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers, and other architects, to ensure that technology solutions are aligned with the overall enterprise architecture.

You’ll evaluate new technologies and make recommendations on which ones to adopt and how to integrate them into existing systems. Additionally, you’ll ensure that systems are secure, reliable, and scalable. You will work in partnership with a product owner, delivery lead and technical lead in a Scaled Agile context to deliver robust and high-quality payments solutions.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong communication and presentation skills with stakeholders and demonstrable decision making.
• Operating at Senior Solution Architecture level, specifically with solid experience in Open Banking.
• Familiarity with the latest National Payments Vision publication and its implications for Open Banking.
• Ideally FPS, CHAPS, and Cross Border payments experience too/
• Experience designing Payments solutions covering - fraud, sanctions screening, case management, data assurance, SaaS integration.
• Strong understanding of basic security design (CIAM, mtls, encryption, digital signing)
• Familiar with Open Banking and UK payments regulation.
• Experience of Cloud Architecture, ideally certified in AWS to Solution Architect level. Azure experience a bonus.
• Experience of designing event driven microservices architecture.
