About The Role

The role of Global Share Plans Senior Manager is accountable for leading the implementation of the Shares & Deferred Awards agenda across the organisation. The role is responsible for the operational management and delivery of all employee share plans, global discretionary share plans and the deferred awards agenda for Aberdeen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Head of Reward in ensuring that all share awards including Deferred and Discretionary Awards granted to employees meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing the relationship with plan administrators and other key suppliers to ensure effective operation of our global share plans (including performance tracking, budget spend analysis and planning and delivery against share plans goals).
  • Working in collaboration with key internal stakeholders including Finance, Treasury, Payrolls, Employment Tax, Legal, the wider HR and Company Secretariat to ensure that internal requirements are defined and delivered effectively.
  • Management of key project activities and business as usual deliverables (incl grants and vesting of awards, year- end reporting, adhoc data requests etc.)
  • Leading and developing the share plans team to deliver team and wider Reward outcomes.
  • Ensuring strong processes and governance is in place to underpin the effective and compliant delivery of shares and deferred awards whilst maximising continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Identification of opportunities to improve and enhance our share plans offering.
  • Benchmarking and analysis of market best practice conducted to ensure that the organisation remains competitive and regulatory compliant.
  • Working with Global Mobility Team to ensure globally mobile employees’ equity is managed appropriately.

About The Candidate

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence at all levels within the organisation and with third parties.
  • Good working knowledge of all employee schemes, Deferred Awards, Long-Term Incentive Awards and other performance based and/or retention schemes from both a technical (tax and legal) and an operational implementation perspective
  • Experience in the delivery of awards on a global basis e.g., nil-cost options, conditional awards, phantom awards etc.
  • Up to date regulatory knowledge in relation to Shares & Deferred Awards in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong project management/co-ordination experience with a proven track record of delivery
  • Strong team/operational management experience
  • A results orientated approach with the ability to plan and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong stakeholder management expertise
  • Numerical and data analytics and insights experience
  • Benchmarking experience
