Main purpose of the job:

To assist in the efficient operation of the Airport contracts by undertaking a wide range of specialist maintenance tasks as required along with capital project works

What you'll be doing

To assist in the efficient operation of the Edinburgh Airport contract by undertaking a wide range of specialist maintenance tasks as required along with capital project works

Key Responsibilities / Duties

• To carry out all type of civil and building works with or without direct supervision
• Undertake general civil and building activities within capabilities with or without direct supervision. This will include but not exclusive to:
• Repairs to structures and surfaces (runway, taxiways, roads)
• Civil engineering and building tasks of a minor nature
• Installation of traffic management
• Boundary fencing
• Concrete works
• Drainage works
• To complete any records as required, including daily worksheets, and maintenance report sheets
• Drive vehicles as required
• To observe all safety procedures and instructions
• Any other duties within the capacity as required by the Foreman
  
  

Working arrangements (shift work, need for travel etc)

Generally Monday to Friday dayshift with occasional out of hours and nightshift working

You will be required to participate in an out of hours call out rota

Role will initially be based at either Edinburgh Airport but candidates should be aware that they could be asked to work anywhere within the Scotland region

Who we're looking for

Person Specification

Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience

• UK Driving Licence
• Experience of working within a civil engineering or building field
• CSCS and CPCS (desirable)
• Will require to be able to produce employment references covering the last 5 years employment along with a Disclosure Scotland check
• Airport experience derisable though not essential as full training will be given
