Are you the right person for the job?
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in bookkeeping and customer service
- Experience in a small firm of Chartered Accountants (preferred) or in the Business Services/Advisory sector
- Strong knowledge of VAT, payroll, and self-assessment
- Confident with cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks highly desirable)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and customer-focused mindset
- Skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks effectively, and meeting tight deadlines without compromising on quality
- Provide bookkeeping and support services to a wide range of clients
- Manage accounts payable and ensure timely invoice processing
- Run monthly payroll and handle VAT returns and self-assessments
- Prepare monthly reconciliations and assist with management reporting
- Use and advise on cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks)
- Respond to client queries with professionalism and clarity
- Support clients with software implementation and training
- Collaborate with internal teams and help streamline workflows
- Stay current on accounting trends and software updates
