Job Description

The interim accountant will partner with the finance leadership to deliver the month-end close, produce monthly management accounts & financial reporting, and ensure the accuracy of the ledgers. This role focuses on maintaining robust financial controls, delivery of month end, and providing timely analysis to inform strategic decisions during a defined interim period.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across multiple entities.
• Manage AP/AR cycles and balance sheet reconciliations with rigour and attention to detail.
• Prepare management reports and variance analysis to support decision-making.
• Stock reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Maintain quality financial data governance and compliance with internal policies.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with 3+ years of experience in accounting/finance roles.
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a business partnering mindset.
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to operate with a sense of urgency and integrity in a fast-paced retail environment.
