Our client is searching for a dynamic Data/AI Solution Architect to join the IDEA Lab-an exciting hub for pioneering AI and data solutions! About the Team:
They are the engine room for AI innovation, driving rapid prototypes, reusable patterns, and scalable data solutions across the Business Transaction Banking (BTB) platform. As part of this vibrant team, you'll provide deep technical expertise and help shape forward-looking AI and data strategies.

Role Purpose:
As a Data/AI Solution Architect, you will be at the forefront of designing scalable, secure, and resilient data and AI systems. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving strategic initiatives including Machine Learning, LLMOps, and GCP cloud migration. You will bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, ensuring compliance with data governance, security, and ethical AI standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategy & Design:Define end-to-end architectures for AI, ML, and data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while ensuring alignment to platform strategy and security controls.
• Technical Leadership:Deliver high-quality solutions using GCP cloud-native services such as BigQuery, Cloud Run, and Vertex AI.
• Cloud Integration:Utilize your understanding of Kubernetes, service mesh, and network boundaries to architect efficient GCP workloads.
• Design Patterns:Implement API and service integration patterns using Istio, Apigee, and modern microservice standards.
• Governance & Compliance:Ensure that all solutions adhere to strict regulatory and security standards.
• Collaboration:Work closely with engineering, data science, and business teams to translate requirements into actionable designs.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Cloud Expertise:Proven experience with major cloud platforms like GCP
• Data & AI Knowledge:Strong understanding of modern data architecture, Machine Learning, and AI tools. Experience with large-scale data migrations is a plus!
• Architecture Leadership:Ability to design orchestrations for AI and ML systems, articulating trade-offs and leading design decisions.
• Communication Skills:Exceptional ability to convey complex technical concepts and represent the lab's technical direction in governance forums.

Beneficial Skills:

• Experience with Vertex AI or other model lifecycle tooling.
• Familiarity with LangChain/LangGraph and AI workflow orchestration.
• Experience in multi-cloud environments and understanding of enterprise integration.

Enjoy a hybrid work style-spend at least two days a week (40% of your time) in our Edinburgh office, collaborating with a talented team.
