Paralegal / Senior Paralegal – Volume Motor Litigation

Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh (Hybrid/Flexible Working)

Salary: £30,000 - £42,000 + Benefits

We are delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded international law firm to recruit a Paralegal / Senior Paralegal into their specialist Volume Motor Litigation team based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established defender litigation practice handling a high-volume caseload of litigated motor and RTA matters on behalf of insurer clients within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

The Role

You will manage your own caseload of litigated defender motor claims from initial instruction through to trial, handling all procedural aspects of the litigation process.

The role will involve drafting pleadings, assessing liability and quantum, valuing personal injury claims using Judicial College Guidelines and relevant case law, negotiating settlements and preparing witness statements for court proceedings.

You will regularly liaise with clients, insurers, brokers, policyholders, Counsel and the courts while ensuring all client SLA and reporting requirements are met accurately and efficiently.

Alongside managing your own files, you will contribute towards wider team collaboration and support the delivery of a high standard of client service across the practice.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further develop their litigation expertise within a highly regarded and supportive motor litigation team.

About You

The firm is keen to hear from experienced Paralegals or Senior Paralegals with previous motor/RTA litigation experience gained within a defender or insurance litigation environment.

You will be highly organised, capable of managing a busy caseload and confident handling litigated matters independently.

Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills are essential, alongside excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be collaborative, commercially aware and committed to delivering a high-quality service to clients.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a globally recognised law firm known for its expertise across insurance litigation and dispute resolution.

The wider business offers a collaborative and inclusive culture, flexible working arrangements and strong opportunities for long-term progression and professional development.

The firm is committed to diversity, inclusion and supporting individuals to thrive within a modern and supportive working environment, alongside offering a highly competitive benefits package and wellbeing support.
