About Yaniv Edery Gallery
Yaniv Edery Gallery is a new and exciting cultural destination in Edinburgh, combining contemporary art, luxury hospitality and high-end events. The venue showcases Yaniv Edery's work while operating as a premium events and networking space, supported by a bar and four bedrooms.
The Role
We are looking for a driven, client-focused Head of Sales to be the primary commercial force behind art sales at the gallery - operating across the UK.
This is a builder's role - you'll be establishing the client base, developing relationships and creating a sales culture from the ground up across the UK art and luxury market. It suits someone who is hungry, credible in the luxury or art space, and motivated by the direct link between their effort and their earnings.
Working alongside the General Manager – Hospitality & Events and reporting to ownership, you'll lead on art revenue while supporting event sales where opportunities naturally align. You'll be expected to network, attend events, and represent the gallery at the highest level throughout the UK - from Edinburgh to London and beyond.
The role is flexible in terms of base location - we are open to the right candidate being based anywhere in the UK, with regular travel to Edinburgh and key art markets as required.
There is a significant additional earning potential based on sales - the right person will comfortably earn well above their base.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all art sales activity across the UK, including private sales, commissions, and exhibition-led sales
- Support event sales - particularly corporate and private hire leads with an art or cultural angle
- Build the client base and develop long-term relationships with VIP clients, collectors, advisors and corporate buyers from the ground up
- Drive sales strategy, pricing, targets, and revenue forecasting for the business
- Represent the gallery at UK-wide networking events, art fairs, private views and cultural functions
- Organise, host and attend private views, collector events, and art-led networking functions
- Act as a key brand ambassador for the gallery locally and internationally
- Collaborate with the General Manager – Hospitality & Events to align sales efforts across the venue
- Work with the Marketing Team on campaigns, launches and audience development
- Maintain accurate sales records, client databases and reporting
- Ensure an exceptional client experience in line with the gallery's luxury positioning
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven track record in art sales, luxury sales, or luxury client-facing roles
- Experience building or developing a client base - not just maintaining an inherited one
- Strong commercial instincts with a genuine passion for contemporary art
- An existing network within the UK art, luxury or HNW space is a strong advantage
- Confident working with high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Polished, professional and highly organised
- Flexible availability and willingness to travel across the UK when required
Benefits
- Salary DOE
- Commission on self-generated and independently closed sales
- Commission on sales converted from referred or shared leads
- OTE uncapped - strong performers can significantly exceed base
- Accommodation available (one of the four bedrooms, when required for Edinburgh visits or events)
- Company pension
- Employee discount
- A senior role with real influence at an exciting new cultural venue from day one
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Work Location:
- Flexible/hybrid - UK-wide with travel to Edinburgh as required
