Summary of the role:
The Data Office is a newly formed function within Diligenta that has been created specifically to oversee data use, governance and control within the organisation, as well as to grow and evolve the use of data providing a better journey for our clients and their customers.
Delivering excellent customer journeys is core to Diligenta’s ‘One Diligenta’ model strategy and is key to Building “Purpose and Pride”. Responsibility for and governance around Data in our Organisation is a key part of this, as we are committed to providing and using relevant data to achieve the right outcomes for our clients, their customers and our colleagues.
This position will be the focal point for Data Governance within Diligenta, as well as overseeing the implementation of the Governance parts of our data strategy. It will also be responsible for building out the Data governance team, frameworks, guidance and controls. You will play a key role in setting, embedding, and governing our data privacy and data management compliance framework, so that it meets the needs of our clients, their customers, the business, and regulators.

- Work with internal Audit and the DPO office to ensure implementation of relevant governance and controls
- Stay up to date with regulatory requirements and other guidance to ensure that our governance stays current and relevant
- Creates, Implements and maintains a governance framework across agreed scopes
- Identify, create and publish required 'Data' policies and processes, as well as working with other functions to amend relevant policies as required
- Contribute to the Identification, implementation and maintenance of a Data quality and documentation platform
- Identify and quantify data quality metrics
- Champions Data governance, management, quality and culture across the business
- Establish and develop the Data Governance team
- Establish Data Governance forum
- Communicates Data governance and its benefits across the business
- Prior experience in a similar role as either a Data Governance Manager or Data Governance Lead
- Solid understanding of data governance concepts
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Familiar with data privacy regulations such as GDPR
- Experience in developing and deploying governance frameworks
- Working with UK GDPR and DP regulation
- Understanding of the risks and opportunities of managing data through its lifecycle
- Creating policies and processes
- Working in an FCA regulated environment (desirable)
- Experience of working with governance tools such as Collibra, Erwin, Purview, informatica etc (desirable)
