Position: Senior Financial Accountant
Location: Edinburgh, Scotland - 5 days on-site required
Client: Life Sciences/Pharma
Main Responsibiliti
- esManage month-end close activities, including accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and preparation of management account
- s.Ensure accurate balance sheet, bank, intercompany, and trial balance reconciliation
- s.Support cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and financial reporting processe
- s.Oversee and support the Accounts Payable process in partnership with Shared Service Centre
- s.Manage manufacturing accounting activities, including costing and Work-in-Progress (WIP) reportin
- g.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for local and corporate stakeholder
- s.Support year-end audits and the preparation of statutory account
- s.Ensure compliance with UK tax requirements, including VAT and corporate tax obligation
- s.Provide financial analysis, budgeting support, and management information to support business decision-makin
- g.Build strong relationships with finance and operational teams and contribute to process improvements and ad hoc project
s.
Main Requirem
- entsPart-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), or qualified by experie
- nce.Experience in management accounting, financial accounting, and costing within a manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or similar environm
- ent.Knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT legislation, and financial contr
- ols.Exposure to US GAAP is advantage
- ous.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to det
- ail.Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems such as JDE is prefer
- red.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environm
ent.
