Chris Stewart Group

Chris Stewart Group is a leading Edinburgh-based real estate development and investment company. Established in 1996, we have a thirty-year track record across the full property spectrum, with a particular focus on urban regeneration and the redevelopment of historic buildings. We are now repositioning the business for its next chapter — and we want artificial intelligence at the heart of how it operates.

We are looking for a technically gifted AI Intern to help us turn that ambition into reality. We have a clear sense of what we want AI to do for us across the business. What we need is someone who knows the tools and the technology, and can actually build and set up the systems to make it happen.

Note that this is an eight week internship, although there may be scope to increase the contract term.

What you’ll do:

• Design, build and implement practical AI systems and tools that support the day-to-day running of the business.

• Work directly with senior leadership to understand our needs and translate them into working solutions.

• Identify and recommend the right tools and technologies for each task — building bespoke where needed, integrating off-the-shelf where it makes sense.

• Help embed these systems across the business and bring the wider team up to speed with them.

What we’re looking for:

We are recruiting on ability rather than years of experience. This role is likely to suit an exceptional recent graduate or postgraduate, potentially at PhD level, who is excited to apply their skills to a real business.

• Strong, hands-on technical skills — you can build, configure and deploy AI-powered systems and tools, not just advise on them.

• Deep, current knowledge of the AI landscape, including the leading models and platforms and how to put them to work.

• The ability to explain your work clearly to a non-technical leadership team and translate business needs into technical solutions.

• A practical, self-directed approach and the confidence to take an idea from concept to working system.

No prior experience of the property or real estate sector is required — we will give you everything you need to understand the business.
