The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly organised Compliance Property Manager to take ownership of property compliance across a residential portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, thrives on attention to detail, and takes pride in ensuring that legal obligations, safety requirements and regulatory deadlines are consistently met.
Working closely with landlords, contractors and colleagues, you will play a key role in keeping properties compliant, coordinating inspections, managing certification renewals, and ensuring remedial works are completed efficiently and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage compliance requirements across a residential property portfolio
- Monitor and track statutory certification and inspection deadlines
- Arrange and coordinate safety inspections and compliance checks
- Liaise with landlords, tenants, contractors and regulatory bodies
- Ensure all compliance documentation is accurate, complete and up to date
- Coordinate remedial works arising from inspections and safety reports
- Maintain compliance records within property management systems
- Monitor legislative changes and support the implementation of compliance updates
- Assist with HMO licensing requirements and property safety obligations
- Proactively identify compliance risks and resolve issues before they become problems
About You
- Previous experience within property, compliance, administration, or a similar coordination role
- Residential lettings or property management experience would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of compliance processes and regulatory requirements
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Proactive approach with the ability to anticipate and prevent issues
- Comfortable working with systems, databases and property management software
Systems Experience
Experience using some of the following systems would be beneficial:
- SME Professional
- Fixflo
- Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
Knowledge & Compliance Experience
An understanding of some/all of the following would be advantageous:
- Scottish lettings legislation
- Gas Safety Certificates
- EICR requirements
- Legionella Risk Assessments
- PAT Testing
- Smoke and Heat Alarm Compliance
- Carbon Monoxide Detection Regulations
- HMO Licensing and Compliance
