Why Join Gilmerton Care Home?

Working closely with the wider kitchen team, you will assist with food preparation, support the safe storage of ingredients and help maintain excellent standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen. From preparing ingredients and handling deliveries to cleaning equipment and ensuring food hygiene procedures are followed correctly, your contribution will help keep daily kitchen operations running smoothly and efficiently.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes pride in maintaining high standards and understands that the work carried out behind the scenes plays an important role in creating positive daily experiences for residents throughout the home.

What Matters Most

  • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a busy kitchen team
  • Good organisation skills with strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Understanding of food safety and health and safety procedures is beneficial
  • Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is helpful but not essential
  • Reliable, hardworking and professional approach with willingness to learn

If you are looking for a role where your contribution helps support quality, consistency and positive daily experiences for others, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
