Part Time Business Administrator
Salary: £25,000 (pro rata)
Hours: 28 hours per week (worked across 4 or 5 days with Friday being a mandatory working day)
Location: Edinburgh City Centre (fully office based)

Our client is looking for an organised, proactive and personable Business Administrator to join their team. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of the organisation, providing essential administrative and communication support across multiple departments.

The Role
As Business Administrator, you'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the business. You'll manage a wide range of administrative activities, support internal communications, coordinate information across teams, and help maintain effective business processes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a first point of contact for enquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  • Supporting the onboarding and offboarding of employees, including maintaining company records and issuing equipment.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Ordering office supplies and maintaining stock levels.
  • Preparing schedules and maintaining internal documentation.
  • Supporting internal communications and company wide updates.
  • Updating website content as directed.
  • Maintaining accurate databases and records.
  • Providing administrative support for projects, events and business initiatives.
  • Liaising with external suppliers and service providers.
  • Supporting IT administration including equipment tracking and coordination with third-party providers.
  • Ensuring records are maintained accurately and in line with data protection requirements.
  • General office administration and business support duties as required.

About You
We're looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage a varied workload with confidence.

You will have:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or office support role.
  • Experience working in a busy office environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong IT skills and confidence using a range of systems.
  • The ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive and positive approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
