Description
The Real Estate Energy Solicitor will be:
- Advising landowners, developers and stakeholders on renewable energy projects including wind, solar, battery storage and hydro schemes.
- Negotiating and drafting property agreements relating to project development, acquisition, financing and disposals.
- Supporting clients on compulsory purchase matters and wider property aspects of infrastructure projects.
- Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser on complex land and property issues.
- Working closely with colleagues across property, tax, private client, business law and dispute resolution teams to deliver integrated legal advice.
Profile
The Real Estate Energy Solicitor should be:
- A solicitor or equivalent with at least 2-3 years' PQE in Scottish property law.
- Experienced in renewables, energy or infrastructure-related property matters.
- Commercially aware with strong technical and drafting skills.
- Capable of managing varied and complex work with minimal supervision.
- An effective communicator with strong interpersonal and client relationship skills.
- Organised, detail-focused and able to work collaboratively within a high-performing team.
- Keen to develop technical expertise and build a long-term career in the renewables sector.
