The best defendant personal injury work is never simply about processing a claim.
It requires judgement, sensitivity and the ability to see the wider commercial picture from the earliest liability investigation through to final resolution.
QED Legal is working with an award-winning firm that is continuing to grow its catastrophic injury and large loss practice. This is an opportunity to join an experienced and supportive team handling complex, high-value and often sensitive claims for leading insurers, major businesses and public sector organisations.
The work covers the full lifecycle of a claim, including liability investigations, policy coverage issues and detailed quantum assessments across the multi-track. You will assist experienced partners on some of the team’s most substantial matters while also managing a caseload of your own.
The practice is deliberately broad. You may be advising on serious motor claims, employers’ and public liability matters, historic abuse cases and other significant personal injury disputes. The team also handles public law proceedings, including judicial review work, offering a wider range of experience than a more conventional defendant insurance role.
You will have the opportunity to work directly with clients, develop trusted relationships and become involved in the continued growth of the practice. The firm is looking for someone who can combine strong technical ability with clear communication, sound judgement and an understanding of the sensitivity that often surrounds these cases.
The environment is collaborative and flexible, with access to experienced lawyers who will support your development while still giving you meaningful responsibility.
This would suit a defendant personal injury solicitor looking for more complex work, stronger client exposure and a genuine long-term opportunity within an expanding team.
For a confidential discussion, contact Neil at QED Legal.
