Commercial Analyst - #2131011

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded Retail Analyst to join a growing multi-site retail business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning data into actionable insights that support business performance, profitability and strategic decision-making.

Working closely with teams across Operations, Finance, Commercial, Marketing and Supply Chain, you will analyse trading performance, identify opportunities for improvement and provide clear recommendations to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse store and business performance across sales, margin, profitability and key retail KPIs.
• Produce regular reports, dashboards and performance insights for management teams.
• Identify trends, risks, opportunities and performance issues across the retail estate.
• Evaluate sales, pricing, promotions, category performance and commercial initiatives.
• Assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and promotional activity.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and analytical tools.
• Improve data quality, reporting efficiency and automation.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to support data-driven decision-making.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Experience in retail, commercial, finance, business or data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and numerical skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
• Ability to identify trends and translate data into commercial recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

Desirable

• Experience within retail or other multi-site operations.
• Power BI and SQL experience.
• Financial modelling and forecasting experience.
• Knowledge of pricing, promotions and category performance analysis.
