Are you an experienced Paraplanner who thrives on technical excellence and collaborative working?

We have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Paraplanner to join our clients established and high-performing team in Edinburgh.

This is a role for someone who enjoys turning complex financial planning scenarios into clear, well-structured advice — supporting Financial Planners to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.

The Opportunity

As a Paraplanner, you’ll play a vital role in the advice process, analysing client objectives and developing high-quality, compliant recommendations across investments, pensions, protection, and tax planning.

You’ll work closely with Financial Planners and administrators, contribute to a collaborative team environment, and offer guidance and support to junior colleagues — helping the wider team deliver consistently excellent work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Producing detailed financial plans, suitability reports, and recommendation documents
  • Supporting new client and review meetings with robust technical preparation
  • Conducting in-depth research across investments, pensions, protection, and tax planning
  • Reviewing client portfolios to ensure suitability, risk alignment, and regulatory compliance
  • Liaising with Wealth Managers, administrators, and product providers to ensure seamless implementation
  • Maintaining accurate client records and contributing to continuous improvement of advice processes

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in a Paraplanner role
  • CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent), with desire to progress towards Level 6 preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of financial planning, tax wrappers, pensions, and investments
  • Outstanding attention to detail and a high standard of written work
  • Confident use of financial planning software
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong internal relationships
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities

What’s In It for You?

You’ll be part of a business that values progressive thinking, collaboration, and long-term impact — for clients, communities, and employees alike.

On Offer:

  • Highly competitive salary DOE + discretionary bonus
  • Hybrid working
  • Pension contribution up to 12%
  • Group Life Insurance and Group Income Protection
  • Flexible benefits including PMI and Critical Illness
  • Share incentive scheme
  • Supportive leadership focused on coaching and development
  • Exposure to high-quality clients and complex planning work
  • The opportunity to make a genuine difference and build a long-term career
  • A dynamic, collaborative, and high-performing working environment
