IFA Administrator – Independent Financial Planning Firm in Edinburgh

About the Role

As an IFA Administrator, you’ll work closely with a high performing Financial Adviser to deliver exceptional client service and technical support. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll take ownership of research, preparation, and implementation of advice, including cashflow modelling, retirement forecasts, and ongoing reviews. You’ll also play an active role in the Investment Committee, contributing to portfolio construction and strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out technical investment and pension calculations
• Prepare and present cashflow modelling scenarios to clients
• Research and compare products for adviser analysis
• Ensure compliance with FCA and regulatory standards
• Process new business applications, fund switches, withdrawals, and rebalances
• Draft suitability letters and reports for adviser approval
• Maintain accurate client data and back-office systems
• Support the Admin Team through regular training
• Liaise with clients, advisers, and providers to resolve queries

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working in a Financial Adviser environment
• Good knowledge of pensions, investments, protection products, and trusts
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with Intelligent Office and CashCalc desirable
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Studying towards Level 4 Diploma preferred but not essential
